General Assembly votes to seat representatives of the People's Republic of China. The People's Republic of China delegation is formally seated in the General Assembly.

1974: PLO GRANTED OBSERVER STATUS BY GENERAL ASSEMBLY
General Assembly recognizes the Palestine Liberation Organization as "the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people". The voting board as the General Assembly grants the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) observer status.
